This is a government initiative that’s designed to give people with disability confidence out on the road and as much independence as possible. Those eligible for the Motability Scheme can get behind the wheel of a brand new, fully adapted vehicle every three years and enjoy all the benefits of a premium lease agreement without the full responsibility of ownership.

Motability Scheme Offers
From city cars to hybrids to SUVs, we have something suitable for everyone.
The Motability Scheme allows people with certain disabilities to exchange their government mobility allowance for a brand-new Kia or Volvo car. The scheme includes insurance, servicing, breakdown cover, and, for electric cars, support with home charging.
You may be eligible if you receive one of the following allowances:
You need at least 12 months remaining on your allowance to apply. You cannot join if you only receive Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
You’ll need to bring:
Your mobility allowance is used to pay for the vehicle, and payments are made directly to the Motability Scheme. Costs depend on your allowance and vehicle choice. Some vehicles may require an Advance Payment, which is a one-off upfront payment. Optional extras also cost extra.
You can use all or part of your allowance, depending on the vehicle. For most vehicles, you’ll need to use your full allowance. You cannot lease motorhomes or caravans through the Scheme, but a wide range of cars, SUVs, and automatic vehicles are available.
Yes, the scheme includes a growing range of Kia and Volvo fully electric and hybrid vehicles, with support for home charging and public chargepoints.
